A complete daily-management tool for people living with diabetes and hypertension - measure, log, understand, and share with a doctor.

The flagship of the catalogue and the largest release programme: eighty-nine screens covering blood sugar, blood pressure, heart rate, blood oxygen, BMI, BMR, weight, medication and nutrition - shipped in twenty-five languages and now at version 3.0.

  • Camera-based vitals. Heart rate and blood-oxygen estimation from the phone camera using photoplethysmography with on-device peak detection.
  • Medication adherence. A reminder engine handling daily, weekly, monthly, multi-dose and interval schedules with progress tracking.
  • Doctor-ready exports. Formatted PDF reports covering any date range, plus family profiles for households tracking together.
  • AI assistant. An optional conversational assistant and image analysis, gated behind explicit consent that names the processor before anything is sent.

A crash-safe screen recorder and video editor that declares no internet permission at all - no ads, no account, no purchases.

Built around a single question every screen recorder eventually fails: what happens when the system kills the app mid-recording. Rotating self-contained segments and a durable journal mean a force-killed session is stitched back into a playable file instead of being lost.

  • Crash recovery. Segment rotation plus a write-ahead journal reconstruct an interrupted recording - the failure mode that loses other recorders' footage.
  • Internal audio and facecam. App playback mixed with microphone into a two-track MP4, with the camera composited into the encoder surface by OpenGL.
  • A GIF encoder written from scratch. GIF89a with median-cut palette quantisation and LZW, verified against an independent decoder.
  • Non-destructive editing. Trim, split, merge, crop, speed, text and privacy blur held as an edit list that survives process death, then rendered by a real transcode pass.

Most network apps draw you a graph. This one tells you why the internet is slow, in a sentence you can act on.

The category splits into ad-heavy speed meters and hobbyist analysers. Neither answers the question people actually have. WiFi Doctor measures what is happening across speed, latency, channel congestion and connected devices, then explains the cause in plain language.

  • Bufferbloat measurement. Loaded against unloaded latency - the metric that explains stuttering calls and lag, and one competitors rarely surface.
  • Channel intelligence. Congestion analysis across the band with a concrete recommendation for a better channel.
  • Live status-bar meter. Separate upload and download in the notification shade, engineered for battery discipline.

Lunethread

A period tracker built on honest prediction - a confidence range instead of a falsely precise date, and silence when there is not enough data to say.

Cycle apps compete on confident-looking single dates that real bodies do not honour. Lunethread reports a window with a stated confidence level, and tightens it as it learns. Everything stays on the device, in an encrypted database, with no account to create.

  • Confidence-ranged forecasting. A pure, independently tested prediction engine that reports low, medium or high confidence - and declines to guess from nothing.
  • Encrypted at rest. A SQLCipher database whose key lives in the Android Keystore and is released only by a biometric prompt.
  • Six themes, and pink is never the default. Three free and three premium, the latter with companion characters that respond to the current cycle phase.
  • A real design system. Three-layer tokens - base, semantic, component - carried from the design source into Compose rather than reinterpreted.

Clap, and the phone answers - even on silent. A finder that works by making noise, not by tracking you.

Every other app in this category asks for location. This one does not request the permission at all, because it does not need it: an on-device acoustic detector listens for a clap or a whistle and drives the ringer through a Do-Not-Disturb override. The same build adds offline call screening.

  • Acoustic detection. Clap and whistle recognition running on-device, with the detection arithmetic covered by unit tests.
  • Rings through silent. A Do-Not-Disturb policy override so a muted phone still answers, with the filter restored afterwards.
  • Offline call screening. Block lists, user-reported spam and area-code region lookup from bundled data - no caller database, no upload.
  • Anti-theft triggers. Motion and charger-disconnect alarms, with guidance for surviving aggressive battery management.

My Diary

A diary where the PIN is part of the encryption - not a screen placed in front of a readable database.

Most locked-diary apps compare a stored PIN hash and then open a plaintext file. Here the PIN is stretched through 600,000 rounds of PBKDF2 and used to unwrap the database passphrase itself, so the wrong PIN does not fail a comparison - it fails to decrypt.

  • PIN-derived key wrapping. PBKDF2-HMAC-SHA256 at 600,000 iterations with a per-install salt, AES-GCM-wrapping the SQLCipher passphrase.
  • Independent unlock paths. A second Keystore-held wrap enables biometric entry and recovery-key reset without weakening the PIN path.
  • Attempt lockout outside the vault. Failure counts and backoff are stored beyond the encrypted database and enforced before it is ever opened.
  • Everything a journal needs. Mood scales, calendar, insights, photo attachments, search, to-do lists and encrypted backup to Drive.

Every calculator carries its IRS publication source, and the editorial layer is signed: content is reviewed by Nausheen Shahid of LMN Tax Inc, named on the page with her credentials rather than hidden behind a house byline.

Official fee schedule PDFs turned into line-by-line permit estimates - base permit, plan review and state levy, itemised instead of quoted as a range.

The product is the arithmetic. Generic guides quote “$300 to $500” for a deck permit; Fairfax County actually charges three percent of construction value with a $72 floor, adds fifty percent for mandatory plan review, then Virginia levies two percent on the combined subtotal. A $15,000 deck comes to $688.50. The same deck in Chesterfield County is $166.28, because Chesterfield uses flat fees by category rather than percent-of-cost. Each jurisdiction page shows the formula, links the source PDF, and states its effective date and the date the record was last verified.

The homepage opens on a custom SVG map of Virginia rendered as a constellation - each jurisdiction a star, brightness mapped to its property tax rate, from Frederick County at $0.48 to Norfolk at $1.23 per $100 of assessed value. Selecting one drops its three rates and a position marker on the statewide range. Behind it sits the discipline that makes the data usable: every rate stored with source URL, capture date and verification status, and unconfirmed fields withheld or disclosed rather than quietly estimated. The vehicle tax calculator applies Virginia PPTRA relief on the first $20,000 automatically.

Impact, zoning, utility tap and proffer fees across six states - built for the pro forma, with a last-verified date on every record.

The most editorially strict of the four, and deliberately so: its readers are land acquisition teams and underwriting analysts confirming fee exposure before a purchase. Every fee derives from a live .gov schedule, an adopted ordinance or an official meeting record - industry summaries and third-party aggregators are excluded by policy. Each published amount carries a direct link to its source document, the named issuing authority and the stated effective date, and any record older than twelve months is surfaced with a stale indicator until someone re-verifies it. The site publishes no estimates and no projections, and says so on the page.

How these were built

Design before code

Each product began as a research brief and a full screen inventory - competitor analysis, positioning, then mockups for every state - before a line of Compose was written.

Tested, not assumed

2,976 automated tests across the catalogue, covering database migrations, architecture boundaries, and instrumented checks that decode exported media to verify the output pixel by pixel.

Built to translate

No hardcoded interface text where it matters - up to twenty-five languages per product, with full right-to-left layouts for Arabic and Urdu verified at build time.

Privacy as a feature

Encrypted databases, biometric vaults, consent named before any upload, and permissions deliberately left unrequested - a location-free finder, a recorder with no network access at all.

Built in-house, run in production

The four web platforms are Technigrid's own products, not client engagements. We built them, we publish them and we maintain the data behind them - which is why the coverage dates on every page are real.

No CMS, no database

All four platforms are static HTML, CSS and vanilla JavaScript. Nothing to patch, no plugin surface, no database to back up, and 1,040 pages that serve straight from cache.

Provenance over volume

Every published fee and rate links its official .gov source and carries a verification date. Where a number could not be confirmed it is withheld or disclosed as unconfirmed, never estimated into place.
